About EEE Department

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a continuously evolving subject that naturally partners with other disciplines to open whole new engineering avenues. The Department of EEE has firm commitment to develop and produce Electrical Engineers of high technical knowledge combined with leadership skills and decision-making, design capabilities and problem solving skills.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 2012 and currently offers B.E Undergraduate program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a sanctioned intake of 60.The department has well–equipped laboratories to cover all the experiments prescribed in Anna University/A.I.C.T.E. Curriculum and to support all research activities. All the laboratories are fully equipped with latest sophisticated machines and equipments.

The EEE department is playing its role in producing elegant Electrical Engineers to develop new technologies for power demand all over country. All the students are encouraged and guided by intellectual faculty to carry out more than curriculum based experiments, certain innovative research oriented projects. Also Carrier Development Programs is being conducted at regular intervals.


Electrical circuits laboratory

This Lab consists of all types of measuring instruments and cathode ray oscilloscope, audio oscillators, function generators and various types of decade boxes.
 

Electrical machines laboratory

The Electrical Machines Laboratory equipped with sophisticated and modernized environment. Through hands-on experiments with real machines, students gain practical experience on transformers and various types of machine drives.

The laboratory can also be used for project work related to electrical machines and energy conversion.

Facilitates the study of all electrical machines including special machines.

Measurements and Controls lab

Facilitates study of control systems and its components along with all types of transducers.

Software such as MATLAB, scilab are taught to the students in this lab to enable them to design, analyze & simulate and even compare with industry. Provides PC based study of Instrumentation and Control Systems.
